Lone Tree

There I was walking along the shore of a foggy watered lake. When out of nowhere I notice a tree. That obviously wasn't supposed to be out in the water. Its leafs were falling off and its trunk was holding in all the water of this mucky lake.My instincts told me to save this tree.


I Walked out into the lake. Each step I took, my feet felt the muddy bottom. I didn't even look where I was stepping. I just kept my eyes on the tree.


Finally I reached the lone tree. I realized the water was thick, and there were snakes scraping against my legs. Fear was consuming me but to help the tree I had to bury my fear.


I reached my arms down to the roots of this tree. The roots felt like snakes. So I took a deep breath to clear out the fear. I looked back down and started gathering the roots in both my palms. I then gripped my fingers onto all the roots.


Lifting the tree out from the filth. I held it close to my chest. Even though it was big, I carried it to shore. I then wandered to a place off shore where there were more trees. I found a place where the soil was rich.I laid the tree gently on the ground next to where I would to dig with my hands. Then once deep enough for the tree's roots. I planted the tree, with it's friends.


I came back the next day and there was the tree I planted. With all it's leafs shining in the sunlight. I touched it's leafs feeling how much healthier it was, made me happy.But then there was a shiny red fruit. That stood out from all the green leafs. The branch which bared the fruit came closer to me. I smiled again, Realizing the tree was giving me a gift. So I picked the fruit. Sat under the tree, leaning my back against its trunk.. relaxing.. enjoying my friend.
